NEXTGEN VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Joining the NextGen team takes a small investment of time to ensure that together we:

Volunteers are the backbone of our department. We rely on you and we want to honor you with a job that gives you life as you share your time and talents with our families.
Down Home - small group setting with our birth through preschool kiddos.
Downtown - small group setting with our elementary age (K-6th grade) kiddos.
Large Group - comfortable up front hosting or behind the scenes tech help
Parent Partnership - Communication tools, support parents
Phase Shop - retail shop with parent and child resources
Curriculum - behind the scenes, midweek, prepping lessons
Environments - behind the scenes simple decor to coordinate with lessons.
STEPS TO BECOMING PART OF THE NEXTGEN TEAM:
STEP 1- Application: Please take a few minutes to fill out the Volunteer application. You will be asked to provide two character references of people who are not related to you that we can contact.
STEP 2 -Fingerprinting: Every volunteer working with minors at New Life Petaluma must be Live
Scanned (fingerprinted). Click HERE for the fingerprint instructions.
STEP 3- Interview: A team member will meet with you for a quick interview so that we can get to know
each other a little better and can answer any questions you might have. This is also a great time to talk
about different opportunities that are available and where your gifts/personality might best match up.
STEP 4- Training: We believe success in working with NextGen starts with being prepared. We want
to give you all of the tools and training you need to hit the ground running. We will also pair you up with a
ministry partner so that you get continued support (and because volunteering is just more fun when we
do it together).
